Lexi Thompson moved back up to second place in the Rolex World Rankings after her four-shot victory in the inaugural Indy Women in Tech Championship over the weekend. She first achieved her career-high No 2 ranking in late July but dropped a spot after a month.

The long-hitting American finished with a stunning 19-under-par 197 total in the 54-hole event at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course, leaving former World No 1 Lydia Ko a distant runner-up. With her ninth career LPGA title and 12th overall, Thompson joined Koreans In-Kyung Kim (three victories), Sung Hyun Park (two victories) and So Yeon Ryu (two victories) as multiple winners on the 2017 LPGA Tour.

After her win, Thompson got behind the wheel of the Indianapolis 500 lap car for a victory drive around the famed 2.5-mile oval track.

Thompson currently leads the LPGA statistics in greens in regulation, is ranked third in driving distance and second in scoring average.
