TPC Kuala Lumpur cemented their position as one of the region’s top golf clubs by winning six awards in the 2018 Asian Golf Awards at the Hyatt Regency in Bangkok last weekend.
TPC Kuala Lumpur won the Asia Pacific Order of Zenith award for setting new standards for the golf club industry, while the club’s Chief Executive Officer Steven Thielke was one of the recipients of the Legion of Leaders award. The latter recognizes outstanding men and women for the exemplary roles they have played and continue to play in promoting all-round excellence in the golf club industry.
TPC Kuala Lumpur was voted as the Best Championship Course in Asia Pacific, while the club’s Head of Agronomy Mohd Nizam Othman bagged the Best Golf Course Superintendent award for the third time. The two other awards for the club went to Azhan Kadir (Best HR Manager) and Loh Chyi Jen (Best Marcomm Manager).
“The journey to be where we are now has been an amazing one. Malaysia is blessed with a strategic location and has ample resources for golf development. I hope there will be more exciting roads ahead for the club and Malaysia. Thank you so much to all members, staff and management for the support and we will always continue to deliver the best,” said Thielke.
Organized by the Asia Pacific Golf Group, the annual awards recognizes the crème de la crème of golf in the Asia Pacific region.
