Malaysia’s Gavin Green and Ben Leong are just two shots off the lead at the halfway stage of the ISPS HANDA Melbourne World Cup of Golf.
The duo battled tough weather conditions at The Metropolitan Golf Club to stay in the hunt on 8-under-par after the more difficult Foursomes format in the second round.
Korea’s Byeong Hun An and Si Woo Kim jointly lead on 10-under-par with Belgium’s Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry.
“Wind everywhere, it was cold … it was wet, keeping our clubs dry was really a bonus,” said Green.
“If you told us you can take a 1-over score, I’ll take a 75. It was just tough, Ben and I, we ground it out, made a couple important putts, especially Ben. A lot of good putts, important putts,” he added.
