Srixon’s latest Z-Star series golf balls build on the franchise’s proven performance attributes of more distance, superb short game control and excellent consistency in the wind.
The fifth generation Z-Star and Z-Star XV balls are already in play on the worldwide tours, with players such as Hideki Matsuyama, Rod Pampling, Hideto Tanihara, Shingo Katayama, Prayad Markaseng, Bo-Mee Lee, Ritsuko Ryu and Mi-Jeong Jeon earning victories with the new models.
The three-piece Z-Star and four-piece Z-Star XV both provide outstanding distance and excellent wind performance, thanks to re-engineered core constructions and a new 338 Speed Dimple Pattern. According to Srixon tests, this delivers the best flight performance in the history of the Z-Star series.
Both models also boast improved spin control and a softer feel, thanks to a new Super Skin Coating and 0.5mm urethane cover.
Z-Star: The ‘super-soft’ EGG (Energetic Gradient Growth) large-diameter core has enhanced outer hardness and inner softness, which makes it feel softer than the previous model while providing optimal launch conditions, ie higher launch angle and lower spin for the driver.
Z-Star XV: The ‘high-repulsion’ EGG large-diameter dual core is improved with the outer core having more consistent hardness which promotes higher repulsion and increases ball speed. The inner core meanwhile has enhanced outer hardness and inner softness, which provides the optimal launch conditions of higher launch angle and lower driver spin.
Both the Z Star and Z Star XV are available in pure white and tour yellow, with play numbers 1 to 4.
SRP: RM199 per dozen. Available in stores from February 10
