Green extends lead in Asian Tour Order of Merit

Malaysia’s Gavin Green has increased his lead in the Asian Tour Order of Merit to slightly over US$106,000 following his joint seventh finish in the Resorts World Manila Masters yesterday.

Green picked up a cheque for US$24,800 to take his season’s earnings to US$567,336 from 14 events. American David Lipsky lies second with US$461,179 while Australia’s Scott Hend is third with US$434,029. Neither Lipsky nor Hend played in the Manila event.

Five events remain on the 2017 Asian Tour schedule – the UBS Hong Kong Open (Nov 23-26 / US$2 million), AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open (Nov 30-Dec 3 / €1 million or approx. US$1.07 million), Asian Golf Championship in China (Nov 30-Dec 3 / US$350,000), Joburg Open in South Africa (Dec 7-10 / R16.5 million or approx. US$1.2 million) and Indonesian Masters at Royale Jakarta (Dec 14-17 / US$750,000).
