Korea win Queen Sirikit Cup at Fanling

Korea won their eighth Queen Sirikit Cup title in nine years at the 37th Asia-Pacific Ladies Golf Team Championship, which was played at Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling.

QSC_KoreaThe Korean trio of Park Hyun Kyung, Jang Eun Soo and Lee Joung Eun combined for a three-day total of 422, winning by 14 shots from the Philippines. New Zealand took third spot on 437.

Park Hyun-kyung was the standout performer during the week, winning the individual title with a seven-under-par 209 total. Jang made it a 1-2 for the Koreans by taking runner-up honours four shots behind.

The Malaysian team of Loy Hee Ying, Ashley Lau and Qistina Balqis finished their campaign in 11th place. 15-year-old Ashley was the best Malaysian, ranking eighth in the individual standings on 221 ( 73, 76, 72).
