Fiji, August 19: Australia’s Wade Ormsby fired a blistering 66 to take pole position with one round to go in the Fiji International at Natadola Bay.
The 37-year-old Ormsby topped the leaderboard on 10-under-par, ahead by just one shot over compatriot Jason Norris. Another Australian, James Marchesani, is in third place on eight-under-par.
Second round co-leader Gavin Green fell four shots off the pace after a third round 73, but the highly-rated Malaysian has not written off his chances yet.
“It was a rough and grinding day for me and hopefully tomorrow will be better. I hung in there well and I am still within striking distance,” said the big-hitting 23-year-old.
“I had a couple of unlucky breaks today. Tomorrow is a brand new day and we will see how it goes,” added Green, who has three Asian Development Tour titles to his name.
