The Tournament shall be known as EXCITING DOUBLES 2012 (hereinafter referred to as the Tournament) and is organized by Write Track Publishing & Communications Sdn Bhd – ParGolf Magazine (hereinafter referred to as the Committee), whose decisions on all matters shall be final.
Entry is open to all amateur golfers with a Valid and Current Golf Handicap and who are above 18 years old. The maximum handicap for men is 24 and the maximum handicap for ladies is 36. All handicaps shall be verified during registration by producing their valid and current golf handicap cards.
The Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without giving any reason. The Committee also reserves the right to disqualify any winner(s) for material breach of any competition rules and for any false declaration of handicap. In such an event, the Committee has the right to reclaim any prizes or seek compensation.
All entries must be submitted using the prescribed Entry Form, together with full payment at least 10 days prior to the date of the Tournament. Entry fees will not be refunded for withdrawal made after the closing date.
All play shall be in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A and the Local Rules of the host venue club, as approved by the Committee.
The Exciting Doubles is a Team Event based on Stroke Play – Best Score (Rule 31 – Four-Ball Stroke Play) over 18 holes of play – Team Handicap is combined with a minimum of 20 and maximum of 40
In the event of a tie for ANY position, the tie shall be decided by a countback system in the following order and manner: By comparing team scores from last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes, last hole, lowest team-handicap and finally, by toss of a coin.
The two top teams based on gross score from each preliminary leg will qualify to play in a final held in Malaysia. The top two teams from the Malaysian Final shall be invited to play in a Grand Final held in Japan (March 2013 – golf course to be advised).

The Draw and Starting Times will be made by the Committee and will be posted at the Clubhouse. Such posting will be considered sufficient notice for information and distribution. The Committee reserves the right to vary or alter the Draw and Starting Times at its absolute discretion.
Rule 6-7 regarding Undue Delay applies. In the interest of fair play, the Committee will not hesitate to impose the penalties provided by that Rule.
All competitors are required to register at least 30 minutes before their starting time and collect their goodies from the registration counter. They should report to the Starter at least 15 minutes before their starting time.
All competitors must submit their scorecards duly signed by the competitor and marker as soon as possible after completion of the round.
Any dispute or doubtful points on the Rules of Golf should be referred to the Committee as soon as possible on completion of the round. The decision of the Committee shall be final.
The onus of accepting a prize, which may breach the Rules of Amateur status, lies with the participants. The Committee and Sponsors shall not be held liable for any action taken on participants by the Governing Body for any breach of this rule.
The Hole In One prize will be awarded to the first achiever at the designated hole.
All participants shall indemnify the Organizers, Sponsors, participating Clubs and its Directors and staff from any legal proceedings, losses, damages, injury or loss of life during and after the said Tournament. Participants are reminded to insure themselves appropriately.
Upon submission of entry forms, all participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to abide by the Rules and Conditions of this Tournament.
