Thailand's Boonma Captures 27th MPI Saujana Amateur Championship

1-DSC_4585_resizedSELANGOR, May 29 – Thailand’s Danthai Boonma pulled off a hard-fought one-shot victory over Australia’s Jarryd Felton to claim the 27th MPI Saujana Amateur Championship which concluded at Saujana Golf & Country Club today.

The reigning (SEA) Southeast Asian Games gold medalist closed his campaign with a two-over 74 for a three-day total of 214 to successfully secure the title.

“I’m so very happy and proud of myself..very excited too! It’s a good course and in good condition, also a tough course,” said the 18-year-old Thai, who is currently the top-ranked amateur in his country.

The Malaysian charge, meanwhile, saw Low Khai Jei take the podium as the best-placed Malaysian on a three-day total of 223.
