Tiger Woods has called on his fellow Americans to ‘unite’ as the country goes through turbulent times in the early days of Donald Trump’s presidency.
In an interview with CNN’s ‘Living Golf’ host Shane O’Donoghue in Dubai, Woods spoke about the current state of the USA and his return to tournament golf following nerve damage in his back.
Asked what his message to his countrymen was at this time, Woods said: “We’re fellow Americans… and as Americans we come together and we do what’s best for our country. And we need to be united, and be Americans. And I know there is a lot of divisiveness as of right now but time, patience and unity I think will win out.”
Woods carded an opening 77 at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and pulled out of the second round due to back spasms.
