The Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) is organising a Turf Seminar and Field Day at Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club in Kota Kinabalu on May 8.
The event is supported by Jebsen & Jessen, the Golf Club Managers’ Association of Malaysia, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Malaysia and the Sabah Golf Association. The main objective of the seminar is to improve and refresh the knowledge and skills of participants in turf and golf management. It will also provide a forum for golf industry players to air issues and build a collaborative platform to jointly address challenges.
Mohd Rom Muslim, MGA’s education subcommittee chairman said: “This is a great opportunity not only for course superintendents but club managers to update their knowledge and skills in making sure their golf courses are in great shape and in good playing condition all year round”.
The Field Day will see turf equipment manufacturers conducting demonstrations of the latest machines and technologies.
“A rare not to be missed, made in Malaysia golf seminar consisting of only local speakers,” said Normas Yakin, Malaysia’s very own turf expert who is also one of the confirmed speakers. “This seminar is suitable for local supervisors, superintendents, managers, players and senior management of not only golf clubs, but stadiums and parks too.”
The participation fee is RM150 nett. Call MGA at 603-9283 7300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
