
Every year, in conjunction with the festive fasting season, Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS) proudly presents its signature buffet dinners at the Club’s F&B outlets, opening its doors to public patronage and sharing the joy of gathering and breaking fast with loved ones.
Widely known as a Members’ Club, KGNS is a place where facilities are typically enjoyed exclusively by its Members. However, for one special month each year, the Club offers a glimpse into its “household” by curating specially themed buffet dinners that welcome Malaysians from all walks of life to gather, reconnect and savour the Club’s well-loved culinary offerings prepared by selected chefs.
This year, rebranded at “KGNS Festive Buffet Dinners”, the Club presents two distinct dinner experiences; Selera Perantau at the Poolside Terrace, and Pesona Sajian Desa at Dewan Presiden, running from 23rd February to 18th March 2026. Enhancing the dinner experience further, KGNS collaborates with Maybank, offering all Maybank cardholders from the public a 10% dining discount, valid for up to ten pax per bill, per venue, during the standard rate period starting 1st February 2026.
Pesona Sajian Desa is catered by Mandolin Comida Sdn. Bhd., which this year welcomes guest chef Chef Azam Bear, accompanied by his wife, Datuk Dr. Ras Adiba Radzi, a well-known advocate for persons with disabilities. Renowned for his barbecue-style cooking and hearty kampong flavours, Chef Azam Bear brings with him a deep appreciation for traditional desa-style cuisine. Inspired by a mother’s touch (or air tangan ibu), Pesona Sajian Desa pays homage to recipes lovingly prepared across generations, once simmered slowly in village kitchens, shared generously at family tables and fondly remembered long after the meal has ended. Each dish is crafted to evoke comfort, nostalgia and a deep sense of belonging.
There is a certain magic in kampong cooking, a warmth that lingers, a fragrance that stirs memories and flavours that feel unmistakably like home. From 23rd February to 18th March 2026, patrons are invited to indulge in Pesona Sajian Desa, a heartfelt celebration of this timeless culinary heritage, bringing together the beauty, soul and tastiness of traditional desa- styled cuisine in one indulgent dining experience at the Club’s Dewan Presiden.
Guests are welcomed with familiar hometown favourites such as Bubur Lambok, vibrant kerabu and ulam-ulaman and an array of traditional sambal and dressings including Sambal Belacan, Air Asam Budu and Sambal Hitam–the unmistakable flavours that define Malaysian heritage.
At the heart of Pesona Sajian Desa lies a generous spread of classic main dishes, lovingly prepared and rich in character and taste. Savour slow-cooked delights such as masak lemak daging bakar salai, rendang tok, daging korma and kuah hitam ayam, alongside comforting poultry dishes like ayam masak merah, ayam korma and rendang ayam. Freshly prepared fish and seafood selections including ikan asam pedas, ikan bakar air asam, udang kam heong and sotong goreng kunyit add depth and variety to the spread.
No kampong table is complete without its greens. From kangkung belacan, terung sambal and sayur campur tumis, to traditional accompaniments such as acar rampai, dalchar, ketupat and kuah kacang, every dish reflects the balance and simplicity of desa living.

The experience is elevated further with a selection of fragrant rich dishes including nasi hujan panas, biryani ayam karahi and nasi arab mandy ayam, while live cooking stations feature crowd favourites such as mee goreng mamak, satay, kambing panggang (roasted lamb), prepared fresh and served hot.
To end on a sweet note, Pesona Sajian Desa offers an indulgent array of traditional desserts, from ais kacang, cendol and assorted Malay kuih, to comforting classics such as bubur pulut hitam, bubur cha cha and banana fritters, to name a few. Refreshing local beverages such as sirap bandung, teh tarik and nescafe tarik complete the experience.
Pesona Sajian Desa is more than a buffet, it is a journey back to one’s hometown, a tribute to culinary traditions passed down with love and care, and a reminder that the most memorable flavours are often the ones that feel like home. Open to both KGNS Members and the public, adults and children alike, it invites families, friends and colleagues to gather and share a meaningful buffet dinner that is echoes a mother’s loving touch through cooking.

A preview of Pesona Sajian Desa was held at the Club’s Dewan Presiden on the evening of 29th January, offering guests a first look at the specially crafted spread for the upcoming festive and fasting month. Approximately 60 menus comprising 99 unique dishes were served daily from 6.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m., from 23rd February to 18th March 2026, in conjunction with the fasting month.
