Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Matt Kuchar and Xander Schauffele have been nominated for the Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA Tour Player of the Year following Sunday’s conclusion of the Tour Championship and FedExCup Playoffs.
The nominees were finalized by the PGA Tour Player Directors and members of the Player Advisory Council (PAC), along with the nominees for the Arnold Palmer Award as PGA Tour Rookie of the Year – namely Cameron Champ, Sungjae Im, Adam Long, Collin Morikawa and Matthew Wolff.
Both awards are determined by a member vote, with PGA Tour members who played in at least 15 FedExCup events during the 2018-19 season eligible to vote. The voting will close on Friday, September 6, and the winners will be announced at a later date.
This is the first year the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year will receive the prestigious Arnold Palmer Award, named in honor of Golf’s Greatest Ambassador. Throughout his career, Palmer set the standard for character, good sportsmanship and professionalism both on and off the golf course.
