Jailbreak Technology and Ultra-Thin Face Cup
Callaway’s revolutionary Jailbreak Technology stiffens the body, pl
acing more impact load on the face to promote fast ball speed and long distance. Jailbreak features two internal bars that connect the crown to the sole, stabilising and stiffening those two parts, and allowing the face to transfer more energy at impact.
The ultra-thin, forged Carpenter 455 steel face incorporates Face Cup Technology for long, consistent distance on centre and off-centre hits.
MIM’ed Tungsten Weighting
The Epic Flash hybrid has a precisely-shaped Metal Injection Moulded (MIM) tungsten weight in the sole of the clubhead, which optimises CG for easy launch and excellent control while an external MIM’ed weight precisely dials in swing weight.
The injection-moulding process uses finely powdered metal to create intricately shaped parts with exacting precision. The MIM’ed tungsten weight is significantly heavier than steel, which helps attain the specific mass properties necessary to increase forgiveness and optimise launch characteristics.
T2C Triaxial Carbon Crown
The Epic Flash is the first hybrid engineered with Callaway’s innovative and proprietary triaxial carbon fabric called T2C, first introduced in their Epic Flash drivers i n January. T2C has a tighter weave, allowing weight to be saved versus a steel crown. The weight is redistributed within the head to lower the CG for a controlled launch, as well as to raise MOI for exceptional forgiveness on off-centre hits.
Optimisation
The new, lighter OptiFit 3 hosel makes it even easier to dial in preferred launch and optimal ball flight for total adjustability.
