Indonesia’s Pondok Indah Golf Course becomes an official member of the AGLF

The Asia Golf Ladies Forum (AGLF) received a further boost to its membership with Indonesia’s highly rated Pondok Indah Golf Course inking an agreement to join the South Korean-based non-profit corporate.

The prestigious Jakarta-based golf club has committed to playing a key role in the development of women’s golf in the Asia Pacific region and is confirmed as the host for the popular Simone Asia Pacific Cup which will return to Indonesia for its second edition from December 21-23 this year.

Located in the South of Jakarta, Pondok Indah Golf Course is about 45 minutes from Jakarta International Airport, Soekarno-Hatta and 10 km from the local business district. It was established in 1976 and has also been the host venue for several international golf tournaments including the 2018 Asian Games.

Erick Purwanto, owner of Pondok Indah Golf Course said, “We are excited to host the Simone Asia Pacific Cup for the second year in a row. We are also looking forward to providing an even greater experience for fans this year with the renovation of our clubhouse and our driving range so that players can practise and perform their best during the tournament.”

“We want to thank the Simone Group for giving us this opportunity to host their tournament and we are determined to do our part in the development of women’s golf in the APAC region as a member of the AGLF too.”

AGLF secretary general Paul Park said, “We are delighted that Pondok Indah Golf Course has accepted our membership and would like to thank them for sharing the same vision as AGLF as we strive to take women’s golf to greater heights in the region.”

AGLF was founded in 2020, It has 14 organisations from 13 countries (Korea: KGA, KPGA) as its members. They also have 9 corporations and golf courses as their members, as well as the R&A’s support.
