The new Odyssey Tri-Beam putter will be available soon in end-June

Odyssey’s new putter, the Tri-Beam putter is instantly recognisable with its triangular racquet hosel. In the Tri-Beam putter, the hosel has a triangle shape and is named racket hosel, with a style that connects and supports a wider area of the head than before. The Tri-Beam putter with the racket hosel promotes a stable head movement on off-centre hits.

This concept is similar with the tennis racket, where the throat type with two (2) arms has better support when the ball is hit off centre. Due to its larger neck shape, it makes the putter more resistant to head movement. The racket hosel, which is the same weight as a conventional crank hosel, is made with the same weight as a normal crank hosel, so that the centre of gravity of the head does not rise. In addition, the heel side of the triangle is vertical and raised straight, so you can hold it without discomfort.

The weight of the sole provides a high moment of inertia (MOI), the low and shallow centre of gravity soles have a weight of about 15 gram placed on the toe and heel to increase MOI. Not only does it allow for a stable stroke, but it also reduces head shake when hitting off-centre together with the racquet hosel. In addition, the low centre of gravity plus shallow centre of gravity makes it easy to control the ball speed and square at impact.

The Tri-Beam putter features Odyssey’s iconic White Hot inserts on the face. By using the same material as the ball cover, it goes well with the ball on impact, and achieves a soft yet firm repellent performance. With a pleasant hitting feel, a sound of the ball, and a steady launch and roll, the reliability and popularity on the tour has not changed even after more than twenty (20) years since its introduction.

There are six models in the line-up, all of which have the ever-popular Red Stroke Lab shaft. They are the conventional blade #1, #2, the Double Wide and Double Wide CS, and the popular mallet head of the #6M and #seven.

The new Odyssey Tri-Beam putter collection for the Japan domestic market. will be available at all major retailers in Malaysia by end of June 2023 and will be retailing at RM1,699.
