Supported by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Tourism Johor, the three-day competition unfolded at The Els Club, Desaru Coast, Johor Darul Ta’zim, from December 27 – 29, 2023.
Players from 10 countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, India, China, Indonesia, Korea, the United States, and Canada, showcased their skills in the challenging tournament.
Despite unpredictable weather conditions posing challenges, Anson Yeo (-7) dominated the Boys’ Category A, leaving his closest competitor, Rizq Adam Rohizam (-1), trailing by 6 strokes. Notable moments, including an eagle on the 3rd hole and a birdie on the 18th, secured Yeo’s overall victory in the men’s category, surpassing Indian player Kartik Singh from the Boys’ Category B by a margin of 2 strokes.
In the girls’ category, Ng Jing Xuen, starting with a 6-stroke lead, clinched victories in both Category B and the overall category by overcoming Chinese player Ren Yijia.
