The Singapore Junior Masters, which has a proud tradition of unearthing the future stars of golf, will be back for its fourth edition at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club from September 30 to October 2, 2024.
Singapore’s first golf Olympian, Shannon Tan won the inaugural tournament when it was launched in 2020, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 20-year-old successfully defended her title the following year before Hong Kong, China’s Arianna Lau clinched the title in 2022.
The boys titles were won by Singapore’s Sean Lee and Brandon Han in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Back after a one-year hiatus because of the staging of the Singapore Ladies Masters, this year’s Singapore Junior Masters sponsored by CarTimes, is expected to welcome many of the region’s most promising junior golfers from Thailand, China, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China and host nation Singapore.
It will be contested across five categories- Division A, U18, Division B, U16, Division C, U13, Division D, U11 and Division E, U9 over three days.

n international qualifier for the Singapore Junior Masters will also be held at the Caliraya Springs Golf Club (August 10-11) and Sherwood Hills Golf Club on August 25 in the Philippines.
Lyn Yeo, Founder of LLD Sports and promoter of the Singapore Junior Masters said: “Developing and promoting the junior golf scene in the region have always been one of the missions for LLD Sports.
“Even during the covid-19 pandemic, we decided to launch the SingaporeJunior Masters so that our juniors could have the opportunity to compete and sharpen their game amid the various social distancing challenges posed then.
Shannon, who was only 16 then, showed a glimpse of her talent when she lifted the inaugural title.
“We are all excited she’s going to be Singapore’s flag bearer for golf at the Olympics next month.
With the return of the Singapore Junior Masters in September, we can only look forward to witnessing more of such quality players like Shannon coming through the ranks.”
