Malaysia’s Khavish Varadan has surged to the top of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) Order of Merit, amassing impressive winnings of US$41,372.
His strong campaign began in February at the PKNS Selangor Masters, held at Seri Selangor Golf Club, where he narrowly missed out on victory after falling in a playoff to Singapore’s Nicklaus Chiam. Varadan quickly bounced back in the following event, the US$100,000 Nam A Bank Vietnam Masters at Royal Long An Golf & Country Club. He defeated Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond in a two-hole playoff to secure his first professional title.
After a missed cut at the am green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars, Varadan returned to form in fine style at the Bangkok Classic, finishing in a solid tied-fourth position to consolidate his position at the top of the OOM.
