Mirabel Ting continued her remarkable rookie season in the Dream First Bank Charity Classic in Garden City on Sunday, securing her second Epson Tour victory of the season and moving to the top of the Race for the Card with just three events left.
The 20-year-old Malaysian had been in control since Friday’s opening round and held the lead through the final round. Although Ting made a steady start on Sunday with two birdies on her opening nine, she found herself trailing the leaders as she made the turn.
That changed quickly on the back nine.

Ting found another gear, making consecutive birdies on the 10th and 11th holes, then adding two more in a row on the 13th and 14th. Her four-under stretch over five holes opened up a four-shot lead, putting the rookie firmly in control.
From there, Ting remained composed, avoiding any dropped shots to close out the round and secure her second win of the season. The win also moved her into first place in the Race for the Card, leaving her in a strong position with only three tournaments remaining on the Epson Tour schedule.
“I feel great. I mean, to get the second win is actually, I would say, pretty hard still,” said Ting with a smile. “I was not as nervous as I thought I would be coming into the last few holes, but overall I played good golf this week, and there’s a lot of improvement to be done still.”
Ting’s latest victory further underlines an impressive first season on the Epson Tour. Having already established herself as one of the leading players in the Race for the Card, she now heads into the final three events with the added confidence of being a two-time winner.
The Epson Tour now takes a week off before returning to action in Alabama for the Guardian Championship at RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill.
