The three-day tournament featured a strong field of Malaysian professionals and amateurs, continuing its aim of providing women golfers with more competitive opportunities and greater exposure.
The closing and prize-giving ceremony was attended by the Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud.
Players, officials, sponsors, partners and guests gathered for the ceremony to recognise the leading performers and mark the conclusion of the championship.
Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, founder of The Mines Resort & Golf Club, said the tournament had been established with a long-term vision for the development of women’s golf.
“The Ladies is about giving women golfers a strong competitive platform and an opportunity to showcase their ability. We want to see more Malaysian women golfers progressing, competing and achieving greater recognition,” he said.
“This is only our second year. We want The Ladies to continue developing year by year and become a tournament that players look forward to competing in.”
The Ladies 2026 was held from 1–3 October, following the Royal Pro-Am on 30 September. It was hosted by The Mines Resort & Golf Club, organised by Professional Golf of Malaysia and sanctioned by the Malaysian Golf Association.
Preparations are already under way for the 2027 edition, with plans to expand the tournament competitively and commercially.
The proposed prize structure for The Ladies 2027 will award RM50,000 to the champion, RM30,000 to the runner-up and RM20,000 to the third-place finisher.
Organisers are also planning a new Ladies International Series category, initially focused on players from ASEAN countries before expanding to a broader international field.
The proposed event will feature 60 players, with prize money of RM300,000, RM200,000 and RM100,000 for the top three finishers respectively.
MKL Bangkit, representing Hamsaga Premium Korean Red Ginseng, has confirmed a RM300,000 Gold Sponsorship for The Ladies 2027. The agreement was signed by MKL Bangkit Managing Director and CEO Mi Ran Shin and The Mines Excellence.
Vendfun Sdn Bhd has been appointed the Official Ticketing and Automation Partner for the 2027 tournament. The company will provide online ticketing, QR code verification, walk-in registration and self-service kiosks at the venue.
The partnership was formalised through a memorandum of understanding witnessed by Tan Sri Lee and Admiral Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Mohd Anwar bin Mohd Nor (Rtd).
