Japan’s Miyu Yamashita delivered a stunning final-round performance to win the 2026 Aramco Korea Championship by three strokes, firing a course-record nine-under-par 63 at New Korea Country Club.
The world number five finished at 22-under-par to claim her fourth victory of 2026, having led the tournament from the halfway stage. She remained bogey-free for the second consecutive round, securing the title in impressive fashion.
Yamashita opened with birdies on the third, fifth and eighth holes, then added another at the 10th to maintain her momentum. She then stepped up the pace on the closing holes, carding three birdies in four holes before an eagle at the 17th sealed her victory.
Czechia’s Sara Kouskova mounted a strong challenge, matching Yamashita’s course record of 63 to finish runner-up at 19-under-par.
The 25-year-old began with birdies on the first, third and fifth holes, then made consecutive birdies at the ninth and 10th. Further gains at the 13th and 14th, followed by birdies on the final two holes, delivered a spectacular closing round and set the clubhouse target.
However, Yamashita’s late charge proved decisive.
“I’m so happy. Today my shot, my putting, everything was feeling so good. I had trust in my game. I like this course,” said Yamashita.
“It’s my first time playing this tournament and I’m so happy to win, and I also didn’t think I could win so many times, so I’m happy about that.”
The victory marked Yamashita’s second title on the Ladies European Tour (LET), following her triumph at the 2025 AIG Women’s Open.
Kouskova was delighted with her performance despite being unable to catch the Japanese star.
“It’s been such a good day, it’s just topped off a really good week. I’m really happy with how we played and I couldn’t have done much better golf today honestly,” she said.
“I couldn’t catch [Miyu] even with this because I thought if I have a really low one today, it could be good. I’m still so pumped. I tried to put one foot in front of the other and stayed really calm during the whole day.”
Hong Kong’s Ginnie Ding and Chinese Taipei’s Yani Tseng shared third place at 16-under-par.
Ding carded a bogey-free six-under-par 66 to record the best result of her LET career.
“It was a very special week, and I have so many emotions. I went into it with an open mind having just come from the Asian Games. It was a promising week and I felt there was so much potential. It was really nice to be able to harness it this week and the putts dropped,” said Ding.
LET rookies Anna Morgan of the United States and Australia’s Stephanie Bunque shared fifth place at 14-under-par.
Morgan closed with an impressive seven-under-par 65 featuring 10 birdies, a performance that lifted her to the top of the LET Rookie of the Year standings.
“I just really got into the zone and didn’t realise how many under I was at the turn and looked at my scorecard,” said Morgan. “I don’t know whether that was a good or a bad thing.
“I got a little excited and amped up on the back nine. I’m proud of my round and glad to have a nice final day and put myself back up towards the top.”
China’s Ruixin Liu and Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim shared seventh place at 13-under-par, while Italy’s Roberta Liti and France’s Celine Herbin-Marshall completed the top 10.
The LET now takes a week-long break before continuing its Asian swing with the Hero Women’s Indian Open, scheduled for October 22-25 at DLF Golf & Country Club.
