Aiden Kei, an emerging amateur golfer, made an impressive opening at the 2025 PGM Tour Qualifying School. Competing at the challenging Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club, Kei delivered a stellar performance in the first round, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 15th hole and seven birdies. His remarkable play earned him a four-under-par finish, placing him comfortably at the top of the leaderboard.
A total of 47 players teed off in the opening round, with 46 advancing to round two after scoring +25 or better. The competition remains fierce as players aim to secure a coveted spot on the PGM Tour. Only those finishing at +15 or better after three rounds will earn their playing rights for the 2025 season.
Among the field are three determined female golfers also vying for a place on the tour. The event has drawn a mix of young, skilled, and highly competitive players, all contending with the undulating and fast greens at Kota Seriemas—a course that demands precision and resilience. With more rounds ahead, the competition promises to be both intense and exhilarating.
