Blue Canyon Country Club is set to host the 2025 Blue Canyon Ladies Championship from March 13-16, featuring top female golfers from the KLPGA Tour and across Asia. With an increased prize pool of $800,000 (up from $650,000 in 2024), this marks the tournament’s second consecutive year in Thailand.
The championship will bring together elite competitors from the KLPGA Tour and 40 invited players. Among the invitees are the top eight golfers from the Thai LPGA Tour Order of Merit and the top four players from the Japan LPGA Tour Order of Merit. Additionally, two promising golfers from India, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Malaysia will join the competition, making up a total of 18 players. Completing the line-up are three players from the National Qualifiers, including two Thai and one international player, along with seven players selected through sponsor invitations.
Building on the success of its inaugural event in 2024, where Lee Ye-won claimed victory at 9-under-par 207, the 2025 edition promises even greater excitement.
Mr. Praphant Asava-aree, Chairman of Blue Canyon Country Club, expressed his excitement: “The 2024 tournament was one of Thailand’s most vibrant golf events. In 2025, we aim to raise the bar, welcoming more top-tier players from the Thai LPGA and leading female golfers from across Asia.
“We’re also expanding opportunities by introducing the National Qualifiers, which will allow Thai and international golfers to showcase their skills and gain invaluable experience on this grand stage,” he added.
