The Lefties Get Together Golf Tournament 2025, held on 18 August at Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club, brought together 32 left-handed golfers from the Klang Valley and nearby states in conjunction with International Left Handers Day.
Emerging as the top scorer was Dato’ Mohd Fauzan bin Ahayat, who secured first place with 37 Stableford points. Mohd Shahrulnizam bin Mohd Yusof (8) claimed second place on countback with 36 points while Sazali Zakaria (13) finished third with 36 points.
This marks the second edition of the tournament, following its successful debut last year. The event was created to celebrate the uniqueness of playing left-handed golf, a journey that comes with its own challenges, from learning techniques to the difficulty of sourcing suitable clubs.
Beyond competition, the gathering also served as a platform for golfers to exchange experiences, ideas, and even trade or swap left-handed equipment. Organisers hope to make this an annual event that will continue to strengthen the community of left-handed golfers in Malaysia.
