Cleveland Golf’s latest putter range, Frontline, boasts radical new weighting that brings the CG forward and a revolutionary engineering process.
“By pairing an extreme centre of gravity with an improved speed optimised face, we’ve designed a putter that uniquely maximises directional and speed consistency. Combined with slick black cosmetics, great shapes and hosel options for different stroke types, Frontline really is the whole package,” said Jacob Lambeth, R&D engineer at Cleveland Golf.
To create a putter that’s powerful enough to counteract mishits and provide consistently straighter putts, the foundation of Frontline is Tungsten Forward Weighting which places two Metal Injection Moulded (MIM) tungsten weights in the face.
For decades, most mallets had weights in the rear of the putter to increase stability on off-centre impacts, but this design places the CG in the back of the putter. Frontline does the opposite, bringing the CG forward for more accuracy on the greens.
Frontline features Cleveland’s Speed Optimised Face Technology (SOFT), which normalises ball speed across the face for consistent distance performance. Every model features an individualised SOFT pattern to help mitigate speed and distance loss, especially on off-centre strikes.
The range consists of the 4.0 Blade and three different mallet options – Elevado, Cero and Iso. The mallets include Cleveland’s 2135 Technology to help with proper alignment. Two different hosel types help provide a superior fit – single bend which is ideal for straight stroke types and slant neck option for golfers with a slight arc stroke.
The Frontline range comes standard with the Lamkin SinkFit Pistol Frontline grip and is available in 33”, 34” and 35” length options.
