MST Golf pledged RM5 for every 10m drive, resulting in RM10,376 raised in Johor for National Cancer Society Malaysia
The lush greens of Palm Resort Golf & Country Club came alive with more than just the sound of clubs meeting balls, they echoed with laughter, purpose, and unity during the Southern Community Golf Day 2025. Over 110 golfers gathered not just to enjoy the game, but to drive real change by raising awareness and funds for cancer screening among underserved communities.
Held in partnership with leading golf brands and the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), the event offered participants a chance to play with purpose. A special highlight was the Drive Out Cancer longest drive challenge, where every 10 metres driven translated into RM5 pledged for cancer initiatives, contributing RM10,376 to NCSM from this leg alone.
The camaraderie on the Allamanda course was palpable, even when rain briefly swept through. Golfers pressed on with spirit, inspired by a greater mission. With RM14,632 previously raised at the Central Community Golf Day in Kuala Lumpur, the campaign has now generated a total of RM25,008 in donations.
Men’s Champion Wong Kuee Hui
Beyond golf, the event featured interactive brand showcases, coffee and refreshments at halfway huts, and eco-conscious initiatives like reusable bottles and cutlery returns. Golfers were also treated to lucky draw prizes and competitive rewards, with Wong Kuee Hui (38 points OCB) crowned Top Men’s Winner and Leow Mee Yok (36 points OCB) taking the Top Ladies’ title.
With strong support from partners including Cobra PUMA Golf, Garmin, Le Coq Sportif, CUCKOO, Hydro Flask, TaylorMade, and others, the event was a celebration of sport and giving.
