Deemples, Malaysia’s homegrown golf platform and mobile app, has officially launched in Thailand with a grand event at Lakewood Country Club in Bangkok. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues to grow its presence in Southeast Asia, furthering its mission to unite golf enthusiasts and enhance the golfing experience.

Deemples was founded to solve a common problem among golfers—the difficulty of finding playing partners. What began as a simple solution has since evolved into Southeast Asia’s largest golf community, providing an easy and efficient way for golfers to arrange games, whether for casual rounds, tournaments, or club matches. With a tech-driven approach and seamless payment integration, Deemples ensures that golfers can focus on what truly matters—playing the game.

“Golf is a sport that brings people together, and Deemples helps connect over a hundred thousand golfers across the region,” said David Wong, CEO and founder of Deemples. “The amazing Thai golf community has shown us that they wanted us to enter the market, and we have already built a strong base in Malaysia. The language of the sport remains the same regardless of where you are—it’s about passion and the ability to play whenever and wherever you can. With a solid foundation established in Malaysia, we are excited to expand our ecosystem in this golf hub to continue providing golfers with a platform to connect, organise games, and share their love for the sport.”

With the largest golfer user base in Southeast Asia, Deemples’ expansion into Thailand is set to strengthen the region’s golfing network, making it easier than ever for players to enjoy the sport anytime, anywhere.

Golf has been steadily growing in popularity across Asia, with millions of players joining the sport. In Southeast Asia, Malaysia has seen one of the most dramatic increases in participation. Between 2016 and 2020, the number of Malaysian golfers surged by 25%, contributing to the region’s overall growth, which saw participation rise to 23.3 million.

Building on this momentum, Deemples is poised to thrive in Southeast Asia’s expanding golf tourism industry. By connecting golfers across the region—particularly in Malaysia and Thailand—Deemples fosters the relationships that fuel this industry. With its seamless integration of local players and international visitors, as well as robust booking and event management features, the platform cultivates a vibrant golfing ecosystem, complementing premier golf destinations like Thailand.

“Our technological infrastructure at Deemples is designed for scalability and seamless integration,” said Ahmad Daleen, Chief Technology Officer of Deemples. “As we expand into Thailand, we’re leveraging our sophisticated matching algorithms and secure payment gateway to ensure Thai golfers experience the same frictionless and enjoyable experience that has made us the leading golf community in Southeast Asia. We’re committed to continuous innovation, ensuring our technology not only meets but exceeds the demands of a rapidly growing and evolving golf market.”

With partnerships established with nearly all golf courses in Malaysia, Deemples is more than just a platform—it is a driving force behind the growth of golf tourism in the region. As it continues to strengthen, Deemples is set to provide golfers with the best booking and matching experience, ensuring that the sport remains accessible and enjoyable for all.
