Edvin Ying captured his third victory of the 2025 PGM Tour season with a commanding performance at the PGM Palm Resort Closed Championship. Following earlier wins at PGM Pekan and PGM Port Dickson, Edvin finished the tournament at eight under par, posting rounds of 69, 70, and 68 to claim the winner’s purse of RM31,500.
Edvin credited his success to dedicated practice, particularly focusing on the putting green this week. He is now set to compete in the Asian Tour Qualifying School for his Tour card.
Marcus Lim finished one stroke behind in second place at seven under par, while Gavin Green and Deang Rahman shared third at six under par. The Best Amateur Award went to Ammar Aiman.
In the Ladies Championship, Winnie Ng dominated the field, leading from the first round to finish eleven under par with rounds of 68, 70, and 67, earning RM10,000. Liyana Durisic claimed second place at six under par, with Aretha Pan finishing third at one over par.
The PGM Palm Resort Closed Championship offered total prize money of RM180,000 and RM30,000 for the Ladies division.
