The KLGCC Mall came alive with colour, craftsmanship and culture as the Enchanting Cultural Festival 2025 transformed the Main Atrium of the mall into a vibrant celebration of Malaysia’s artistic soul on 15 and 16 November.
Organised by Brand Media Group, the two-day festival invited visitors to slow down and reconnect with the beauty of traditional Malaysian arts through an immersive showcase of textiles, crafts and cultural expressions. From the shimmer of hand-applied gold leaf to the delicate art of embroidery, the event offered a rare glimpse into the stories woven into the nation’s heritage.

Presenting the Telepuk delicate gold leaf work
At the heart of the festival were three treasured textile traditions including Telepuk, Kelingkan and Batik. Once reserved for royalty and ceremonial attire, these crafts were brought to life through archival displays, rare artefacts and live demonstrations by master artisans. Visitors watched as gold leaf was carefully applied to fabric, metallic threads were stitched into intricate bridal designs, and wax-resist techniques transformed plain cloth into expressive works of art.
The event was graced by distinguished cultural leaders including Che Puan Datin Hezeita Mohd Hafidz, who graced the event as Guest of Honour; Datuk Dr. Ammar Ghapar, Former Director General of Tourism Malaysia; Encik Mohd Radzi Bin Omar, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah (Kebudayaan dan Kesenian) Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN), Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara; YBrs. Puan Rozzana Binti Rahmat, Chief Executive Officer of Perbadanan Adat Melayu & Warisan Negeri Selangor (PADAT), Encik Zahari Bin Mat, Pegawai Kebudayaan Jabatan Warisan Negara; and YBrs. Puan Suraya Norin Binti Ismail, Chief Assistant Director, Delivery Management Unit PPPM Ministry of Education Malaysia.

Beyond the exhibits, the mall came alive with hands-on experiences. Families and children immersed themselves in traditional arts, while artisan showcases and interactive workshops let visitors see, touch, and truly appreciate the skill and craftsmanship behind each creation. The festival stood as a reminder that heritage is not just something to be displayed; it is something to be lived, shared and celebrated.
