Golfers looking for a fun event while aiding a deserving cause should sign up for the KL Expat Malaysia (KLEM) Golf Community’s annual Charity Golf Day. The tournament takes place on September 8 at Amverton Cove Golf & Island Resort, with this year’s proceeds going to the National Cancer Society of Malaysia
“Our aim has always been ‘the more the merrier’ and ‘a chance to meet, play and enjoy golf with like-minded people’,” said KLEM Golf Community president Duncan Cameron. “There will be many prizes, some a little different from the norm, plus an auction, silent auction and raffle.
“Quite simply, I want this to be the best charity golf day for everyone who plays, to raise as much money for the National Cancer Society of Malaysia and to create awareness that cancer effects over 38% of us. We want the participants to go off and tell everyone else … together we can make a difference!”
The participation fee for the afternoon Stableford event is RM300 inclusive of green fee, buggy, caddy and dinner. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
