Malaysian golfer Galven Green put together a strong challenge at the inaugural US$100,000 DigiPlus Philippine ADT Open, finishing in a tie for third place after leading the tournament heading into the final round.
Green fired a sensational eight-under 64 in the third round to take a one-shot lead into the fourth round. However, a final-round 72 saw him finish at 14-under par, tied for third alongside Argentina’s Franco Scorzato.
Italy’s Michele Ortolani produced a composed final-round 69 to win his first international title at 16-under par, finishing one shot ahead of Chinese Taipei’s Ching-hung Su. Ortolani’s victory capped a consistent week and rewarded his persistence across Asia.
The Asian Development Tour heads to Thailand next week for the Bangkok Classic.
