Gavin Green moves up to 191st spot on Race To Dubai rankings, Genevieve Ling lies 22nd in Women’s All Pro Tour ‘Race to Stage II’

Malaysia’s Gavin Green climbed 14 rungs up the European Tour’s Race To Dubai rankings into 191st spot following a T65 finish in the Betfred British Masters yesterday.

The country’s top-ranked male golfer carded rounds of 75, 70, 72 and 73 at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, England for a two-over-par 290 total in his eighth start on the 2021 European Tour schedule.

Currently in 54th place on the Tokyo Olympics men’s golf rankings (based on the May 9 standings), Gavin looks locked in for the top 60 at the qualification cut-off date of June 21 who will make it into the men’s golf event at Kasumigaseki Country Club on July 29 to August 1. In the Rio 2016 Olympics, Gavin finished 45th.

Meanwhile, Genevieve Ling is making her presence felt on the Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) in the United States. The 26-year-old chalked up an 11th place finish in last week’s WLN Central Arkansas Open and is in 22nd spot on the WAPT’s ‘Race 2 Stage II’ season rankings. Genevieve’s best finish came in last month’s Hot Springs Championship where she tied for sixth.

The Race 2 Stage II concludes with the Babe Zaharias Open at Beaumont Country Club in late July, with the top five players earning exemptions into Stage II of LPGA qualifying school this October at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Florida. Additionally, each WAPT tournament awards the top two finishers with starts into a subsequent Symetra Tour event.
