The 14th edition of the US$10 mil DP World Tour Championship, which will be played this week at the Jumeirah Golf Estates features the top 50 players available on the DP World Tour Rankings.
Malaysia’s number one professional Gavin Green has sealed a spot to this coveted event by finishing seventh in the recent Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa. This will be the second time that Green has played in this season-ending tournament. In 2020, he finished 52nd on the DP World Tour Rankings.
Green posted rounds of 72-65-75-70 for a six-under-par total 282, five strokes behind champion Tommy Fleetwood of England at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City. The 28-year-old Green collected €178,133.96 for his efforts, taking his career earnings to €2,447,640.14 mil, and shot 14 spots up the DP World Tour rankings to 28th position.
The Malaysian has been in great form recently having finished runner-up in the Portugal Masters and joint 11th in the Mallorca Golf Open.
