Golf legend Seri Pak relishing role as Official Ambassador for Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown

Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown 2025 - Seri Pak Named Official Ambassador

Legendary Korean golfer Seri Pak is relishing her role as official ambassador for the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, which will take place from October 23–26 at New Korea Country Club in the city of Goyang, Gyeonggi province.

The LPGA Tour and Hanwha LIFEPLUS officially announced Pak as the tournament’s ambassador earlier this month. The biennial tournament is the world’s only women’s golf event contested by national teams, featuring the world’s top seven golfing nations – the United States, Japan, Korea, Australia, Thailand, Sweden and the People’s Republic of China – as well as a World Team.

“It is a great honour to serve as the official ambassador for the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, a tournament where the world’s best players represent their countries with pride,” said Pak. “Throughout my playing career, I always competed with the mindset of representing my nation, so this tournament feels especially meaningful.”

“I hope fans will come and experience the energy of women’s golf up close and enjoy the spirit of international competition as it returns to Korea after seven years,” added the five-time Major winner.

A trailblazer for Asian golf, Pak inspired an entire generation with her 25 career LPGA victories and fueled the Korean golf boom by broadening the sport’s appeal. Following her retirement in 2016, she continued to lead Korean golf as the national team head coach at both the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympics, notably guiding Inbee Park to a gold medal in 2016.

As the official ambassador for the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, Pak will engage fans by sharing key tournament updates through her personal social media channels. She will also participate in major events including the Gala Dinner, Opening Ceremony and Awards Presentation, further fulfilling her ambassadorial role. Through her involvement, the event aims to amplify its message of competition, unity and inspiration, while elevating its global status.

LPGA Executive Director Han Ji-yeon, who is overseeing the tournament, noted: “We are thrilled to welcome Seri Pak back in an ambassadorial role. She played a crucial part in promoting the 2018 edition of the International Crown, and her global stature as one of the most respected and admired golfers ensures that this year’s event will resonate far beyond golf fans. We’re also preparing special fan engagement events at the venue, and we invite everyone to join in the celebration.”

The 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown will feature the world’s leading players including Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul (Thailand), No. 2 Nelly Korda (USA), No. 3 Minjee Lee (Australia), No. 4 Lydia Ko (New Zealand, World Team), No. 5 Charley Hull (England, World Team), No. 6 Miyu Yamashita (Japan) and No. 7 Ruoning Yin (China). The Korean team will consist of World No. 9 Hyo Joo Kim, Haeran Ryu (No. 13), Hye-jin Choi (No. 17) and Jin Young Ko (No. 19).
