Malaysia’s Kelly Tan has regained her LPGA card after a T20 finish in the 144-hole Q-Series which concluded yesterday at Pinehurst No 9.

Tan survived a tough weekend in the gruelling final stage qualifier for the 2020 LPGA Tour, finishing on even-par after rounds of 69, 71, 69, 71, 71, 68, 75 and 78. China’s Muni He topped the leaderboard on 21-under-par in the Q-Series, which rewarded the top-45 finishers and ties with Category 14 membership on the LPGA Tour Priority List for 2020.

Tan, 26, lost her LPGA card following her fourth season on the world’s premier ladies circuit in 2017 and played on the second-tier Symetra Tour from last year. She won once this season but failed to regain her LPGA card after finishing in 33rd place on the 2019 Symetra Tour Volvik Race For The Card standings (the top 10 players earned LPGA cards for 2020).

Tan is an ambassador for The Els Club Malaysia and is also sponsored by Mazda Malaysia and J.Lindeberg.
