Kemarol Baharin stormed to the top of the leaderboard in round one of the PGM Melaka Closed Championship 2025 at Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club, firing a six-under-par 66. His round featured eight birdies, offset by bogeys on holes 6 and 14.
Hot on his heels, Syahiran Syakir carded a flawless, bogey-free 67 with five birdies to sit one shot back. Paul San is two shots adrift at -4 after rolling in seven birdies against a lone bogey at the 4th, while Ben Leong and Shahriffuddin Ariffin trail by four strokes.

In the Ladies Championship, Jocelyn Chee surged ahead with a four-under-par 68, holding a two-shot advantage over Zulaikah Nasser. Amalia Shahzan and Ng Jing Xuen follow closely, just three off the lead.
The tournament offers RM180,000 in prize money for the men’s field and RM30,000 for the ladies, played across the Meadow & Woodland courses (7,119 yards, Par 72) at Tiara Melaka.
