PGM Order of Merit leader Ben Leong will be aiming to add another victory to his tally when the PGM Melaka Closed Championship 2025 tees off this week at Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club. Joining him in the chase is homegrown star Shahriffuddin Ariffin, better known as Dino, who honed his game at Tiara before making his mark on the Asian Tour.
Fresh off his triumph at the PGM Port Dickson Championship, Edven Ying will be looking to ride his momentum to a back-to-back win and boost his position on the Order of Merit. Rising names Marcus Lim and Paul San are also expected to contend strongly, especially with the demanding Meadow & Woodland courses, where length off the tee and pinpoint accuracy are key to going low.

On the women’s side, Liyana Durisic and Zulaikah Nasser, the current leaders of the PGM Ladies Order of Merit, will be eager to stamp their authority with a win. They will face stiff competition from Winnie Ng and Aretha Pan, both capable of taming the 7,119-yard, par-72 layout.
The championship offers a total prize purse of RM180,000 for the men’s event and RM30,000 for the Ladies Championship.
