Malaysian footballer Mohd Safee bin Mohd Sali scored a hole-in-one at the Madza Trophy 2022 golf tournament that was played after a seven-year hiatus at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club (GGCC).
GGCC member Safee, who is currently Malaysia’s all-time leading goal scorer in the AFF Championship with nine goals, scored an ace on Hole-15 (Valley Course) from 155 metres with a 6-iron Miura golf club and a TaylorMade TP5x golf ball. Safee also took home a Mizuno JPX921 forged iron set courtesy of MST Golf Sdn Bhd, and RM2000 F&B credit by Glenmarie Golf & Country Club for his hole-in-one, on top of other prizes for his achievement in winning the B-Medal Category in the tournament.
Noriskandar Nordin; Mazda Trophy 2022 – Overall Nett Champion
The packed tournament, organised by Bermaz Motor Trading Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad, saw with a total of 132 members participating for a chance to win lucrative prizes.
The overall nett champion of the Mazda Trophy 2022 was Noriskandar Nordin (24) who posted a net score of 64.
Other prizes that were up for grabs during the golf tournament included premium timepieces from Epos and Vostok, exclusive Mazda merchandise, RM5000 rebate vouchers from Mazda and Kia, complimentary green-fee vouchers, and lucky draws.
Due to the overwhelming response, the management of Bermaz Motor Trading Sdn Bhd promised that the next Mazda Trophy will be bigger and better and will accommodate participation for more members of Glenmarie Golf & Country Club.
