Malaysian Red Crescent KL – Low Yat Group Charity Golf set for Tasik Puteri on November 16

The Malaysian Red Crescent Kuala Lumpur – Low Yat Group Charity Golf Tournament will tee off at Tasik Puteri Golf & Country Club on the morning of Saturday, November 16.

The annual charity event aims to raise RM50,000 via entry fees and corporate donations for the Malaysian Red Crescent Kuala Lumpur (MRCKL), which relies primarily on private donations and fundraising initiatives to finance its daily operations and activities.

“The funds raised will be beneficial in the running of our activities, which include organising and providing first aid and CPR training. This training prepares our volunteers for any natural disasters in the Kuala Lumpur area and when we are called upon to assist in international emergencies,” said MRCKL fund-raising chairman Dato’ Khairul Annuar Abd Aziz, who is also the chairman of the tournament organising committee.

“The organising committee has set a target of raising RM50,000. We call on the golfing public to join this event for a worthy cause and a memorable day of golf,” he added.

This year’s tournament received a boost when the Low Yat Group offered the 27-hole Tasik Puteri course as the official venue. In addition, the diversified group pledged an apartment in one of its property developments, Perdana Park @ Rawang worth RM320,000, as a hole-in-one prize.

“We are delighted to be part of this charity golf tournament. Giving back to society has long been a part of the Low Yat Group philosophy,” noted Low Yat Group executive director Low Gee Teong.

Utilising the System 36 Stableford format over the club’s Putera and Puteri Nines, the tournament will offer attractive prizes in the A, B and C Medal divisions, novelty holes and lucky draws. In addition to the apartment on Hole 17, the other hole-in-one prizes are a Mazda 2 on Hole 8 and a TaylorMade M6 golf set on Hole 3.

The other tournament sponsors include Mazda, MST Golf, MPI Generali, Titoni, Srixon, HL Golf & Turf Equipment, J-Golf and Federal Hotels International.

The participation fee is RM350 per person for individuals and RM3,000 per flight for corporate entries. For more information, call 012-655 0940 / 03-6034 4722 or email johanrosli@tasikputerigolf.com.
