Malaysia’s Kelly Tan chalked up another strong performance on the LPGA Tour with a T24 finish in the Cambia Portland Classic in Oregon.
After making the 36-hole cut on the number following rounds of 74 and 70 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club, the Malaysian ladies No 1 surged up the leaderboard with a flawless final round 66 for a total of six-under-par 210. Starting on the back nine, Kelly birdied her first hole and raked up five more birdies on her closing stretch for an impressive inward 31.
The tournament was won by England’s Georgia Hall in a playoff over South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai after both players finished regulation play tied on 12-under-par.
After a week off, Kelly gets back in action next week in the Shoprite LPGA Classic at Seaview’s Bay Course in Galloway, New Jersey.
Meanwhile, on the Ladies European Tour Access Series, Ainil Bakar tees off in this week’s Lavaux Ladies Open at Lavaux Golf Club in Puidox, Switzerland.
