Malaysian ladies No 1 Kelly Tan finished T49 in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, which ended yesterday at Pinnacle Country Club in Arizona.
Kelly carded rounds of 70, 68 and 68 for a seven-under-par 206 total, 13 shots behind winner Austin Ernst of the United States.
After a short break, the LPGA Tour resumes next week with the ANA Inspiration at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, where Kelly will make her 14th Major appearance. Kelly is currently in 36th place on the LPGA Tour’s Race To CME Globe rankings.
Meanwhile, the country’s top male player Gavin Green is back in Malaysia serving out a 14-day quarantine at the PJ Hilton hotel. Gavin had missed the cut by two shots in the European Tour’s UK Championship at The Belfry after rounds of 69 and 78 in tough weather conditions.
Gavin is targeting a return to action in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort in Northern Ireland on September 24-27. He is currently ranked 28th on the European Tour’s Race To Dubai rankings.
