Marriott International Hotels and Resorts, in partnership with the Marriott Worldwide Business Council in Malaysia, has announced the return of its much-anticipated Annual Golf Charity Day, scheduled for Saturday, 21st June 2025 at the picturesque Palm Garden Golf Club in Putrajaya.
This year’s edition, themed “Swing for a Cause”, promises a memorable day that blends competitive golf with community purpose. The event aims to bring together business leaders, corporate players, and golf enthusiasts for an afternoon of spirited play, followed by an evening of celebration, gastronomy, and giving.
After the final putt drops, participants will head to the nearby Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya – a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, for a vibrant post-golf celebration. The evening will feature a chef-led Cook-Off, dinner with food stalls curated by Marriott International Malaysia hotels, along with live entertainment, silent and live auctions, and a lucky draw packed with exciting prizes.
Part of Marriott International’s Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction initiative, the Annual Golf Charity Day continues to underscore the group’s long-standing commitment to community service and sustainability. With 53 Marriott properties across Malaysia and a growing portfolio employing more than 9,500 associates, the company continues to play a leading role in driving social impact throughout the country.
This year’s event has set an ambitious fundraising goal of RM100,000, with all proceeds earmarked for local community initiatives and UNICEF, supporting their mission to advance the rights and well-being of every child, everywhere.
“This event is more than just a game — it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and collective impact,” said Volker Burth, Chairman of Marriott Worldwide Business Councils Malaysia and General Manager of W Kuala Lumpur. “At Marriott International, we believe in the power of coming together to do good. Whether you’re swinging a club or sharing a meal, every moment of this day contributes to something far greater.”
Burth added that the charity golf day creates a platform not just for engagement and networking, but for real change, emphasising that each contribution — big or small — supports vital causes and helps create a lasting legacy of giving.
The 18-hole tournament will include green fees, caddy and shared buggy services, along with Marriott Bonvoy-branded apparel and curated goodie bags for each golfer. Players will also enjoy on-course food and beverages sponsored by Marriott Bonvoy, and take part in nine tournament challenges offering attractive prizes.
