
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently concluded the 2026 MercedesTrophy National Final Malaysia, rounding off another successful edition of its signature amateur golf tournament. Now in its 36th year, MercedesTrophy continues to bring together golf enthusiasts from over 60 countries, united by an appreciation of performance, precision, and excellence.

Held across four qualifying rounds, the tournament saw participants compete at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort and Kota Permai Golf & Country Club for a chance to advance to the National Final Malaysia. The top five golfers from each round earned their spot in the final, which took place on 22nd June at The ELS Club Desaru Coast, Johor, where the championship course challenged participants with demanding play that called for accuracy, strategy, and composure.
At the 2026 MercedesTrophy National Final Malaysia, three golfers claimed top honours in their respective categories. Mr. Ng Jun Lip secured first place in Category A, Mr. Mohd Azli bin Jamal emerged as the winner of Category B, while Mr. Liew Kim Weng topped Category C. Their performances demonstrated strong consistency, skill, and focus throughout the competition.

Complementing the tournament was a curated selection of exclusive prizes and merchandise, headlined by the Mercedes-Benz E 350 e as the Hole-In-One prize. Datuk Shaifuddin bin Abdul Manan also claimed the Drive to the Major title, securing an all-expenses-paid experience at The Open 2026, from 15th to 20th July.
The top three golfers in each category, determined by the highest Stableford points, were also awarded an all-inclusive trip to the MercedesTrophy World Final 2026. Set to return from 28th September to 2nd October 2026, the World Final will once again be held at the five-star hotel ‘Der Öschberghof’ in the Black Forest, with views overlooking Lake Constance and the Swiss Alps. Malaysia’s representatives will proudly compete on the world stage.
