Meru Valley Resort in Ipoh, Perak has opened its new physical therapy centre, Meru Renew, which perfectly complements the golf resort’s wellness facilities. The goal of the centre is to help Malaysians achieve optimal health by restoring function, reducing pain and preventing disability.
Apart from offering long-term relief from aches and pains and treatment for sports injuries, Meru Renew also aids in stroke recovery, age-related issues and correct posture.
Equipped with electrotherapy, ultrasound and remedial massage, the modern centre provides comprehensive treatment for all ages in a comfortable, air-conditioned treatment space, no matter the level of pain or type of injury one may be experiencing.
“We’re pleased to open a physical therapy centre to grant easier access to pain relief and care closer to home. We are the first in Perak to have a one-stop medical centre that provides a medical clinic, physical therapy centre and wellness centre,” said Meru Valley Resort general manager Florence Foo.
On top of that, Meru Renew also offers in-depth assessments and personalised care plans that cater to individual needs so that everyone can enjoy active lifestyles to the fullest; this may include ultrasound, interferential treatment, wax therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), at home exercises, helpful advice and a re-assessment.
“Meru Valley Resort is committed to community health and wellbeing. Our expansion in healthcare includes an on-site doctor and healthcare clinic, physical therapy centre, specialised gym, wellness centre – including spa, hair and nail – and exercise classes such as yoga, tai chi and Zumba.
“While undergoing treatment, anyone on a Meru Renew plan will be able to use the HUR equipped fitness centre on-site, which is specially designed for rehabilitation,” added Foo.
