MST Golf has been appointed as TaylorMade Golf’s distributor for Indonesia, adding to the retail chain’s existing distribution rights for the brand in Malaysia and Singapore.
In a press release sent out today, MST Golf noted that their goal for TaylorMade in all three markets is to “execute consistent brand positioning, smooth and efficient product roll-out in retail stores, and achieve clear and consistent marketing communications as well as pricing for consumers.”
Last month, MST Golf hosted a virtual product launch of TaylorMade’s 2021 line-up of products, headlined by the highly-anticipated SIM2 family. The launch was attended by key retailers from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, who were briefed by TaylorMade’s product team led by Brian Bazzel, vice president of global product, on the technological advancements in the new equipment.
“Coming off a very successful launch of the TaylorMade SIM franchise last year along with a strong momentum going into this year, I am very excited with this year’s many new products, especially the SIM2. I cannot wait for consumers to get it into their hands and start playing and enjoying it,” said Ng Yap, chief executive of MST Golf.
On a related note, MST Golf welcomed golf industry stalwart Timothy Yoong to their team to oversee the TaylorMade brand in Singapore and Indonesia. Based in Singapore, Timothy is highly regarded as an industry ‘veteran’ with vast experience, especially in regional distribution when he was attached to another leading golf brand.
“Our TaylorMade brand team led by Justin Fong and Timothy Yoong are looking forward to working closely with each retailer in all three markets to continue driving the TaylorMade brand to greater heights. I would like to thank the entire TaylorMade South East Asia team for their strong support and for working closely with us to continue growing the market share and deliver the best TaylorMade brand experience in our markets,” noted Ng Yap.
