Golfers looking to book tee times and make payment online in this age of social distancing can soon do so when the myGolf2u app is officially launched later this month.
Developed by BriteSoft Solutions Sdn Bhd, myGolf2u uses the latest cloud-based technology to provide remote solutions and a better all-round experience for golfers as well as clubs. Established in 2002, BriteSoft Solutions is a software organisation that focuses on end-to-end wholesale business management solutions for the telecommunications industry.
BriteSoft Solutions CEO Fazel Naghshineh noted that myGolf2u is more than just an online platform for searching and booking tee time slots.
“Rather than calling numerous golf clubs or checking their websites to see if they have tee times available, with myGolf2u one merely keys in the desired tee time and date and a host of golf clubs that have that particular slot available will appear on your screen,” he said.
Fazel explained that once golfers have made the booking and payment on the app, the club’s caddy master and starter will then have all the information in their devices. “Upon arriving at the club, the golfer drops his bag, collects his tag and after parking, heads straight to the buggy and on to the teebox … a paper-less procedure that avoids the queues and crowds at the registration area,” he enthused.
“Golfers can use the app not just for tee time booking but also to update their handicaps, as the app incorporates the World Handicapping System. You can keep score in the app and it automatically updates your handicap index immediately after every round played,” added Fazel.
For golf clubs, the myGolf2u app not only enables them to reach a wider audience but is also now available as a total management system. Among the app’s functions are ‘live’ scoring for tournaments and management modules for membership, finance and F&B.
“That this total management system is cloud based points to less manpower, cuts off headaches with logistics and staffing and provides department heads and managers the ability to track the club’s day-to-day performance without having to be at the office or behind a computer. It’s available 24 hours on your mobile phone,” Fazel elaborated.
myGolf2u sponsored the ‘live’ scoring for the 2017 Prudential Astro Masters and is used by Tropicana Golf & Country Resort for their monthly medal competitions. It has also been used for many other events such as the BMW Trophy and the international Nomura Cup, which is run by the Malaysian Golf Association.
Fazel claims that myGolf2u is far more advanced and sophisticated than any golf app in this region. “Our holistic Total Management System is now available in several clubs in the region and we’re happy to note that more are signing up with us in the coming months.
“Other clubs have locked on to myGolf2u’s online booking system. But as a stand-alone app, almost 10,000 individual golfers have downloaded myGolf2u. In Indonesia, there are many social groups with hundreds of members who use our app for all their golf activities including tournaments, scoring and handicapping,” he shared, adding that their target is to sign up 50 golf clubs and 100,000 golfers by the first quarter of 2021.
