Say Guat emerges KGNS’ Kelana Queen

Avid lady golfers came together on the early morning of 28 March 2022 to battle for the title of Kelana Queen at the Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS). After a scrumptious breakfast, 19 flights took off to compete in the System 36 Stableford format of this inaugural tournament, which was mooted by Puan Sharifah Khatijah Syed Abdul Rahman, KGNS’ Lady Convenor for the club’s lady members as well as lady members of nearby clubs. The event will be an annual fixture in the KGNS golfing calendar.

Ng Say Guat, playing off a handicap of 21, scored 37 points to emerge winner. She was declared Kelana Queen in the auspicious presence of the  DYMM Tunku Ampuan Besar Negri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Tengku Besar Mahmud, and Teramat Mulia, Dato Seri Diraja, Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, Tunku Temenggong Kedah. The Tunku Ampuan who had earlier in the morning released balloons to commemorate the tournament, presented Say Guat with the winning trophy at the prize-giving ceremony.

Ng also won the in KGNS category, on countback from runner-up Roslina Abd Latif while 10-handicapper Nor Aziah Ariffin took the top spot in the guest category.

The nearest to pin prize on the 8th hole went to Chee Sook Yin while Hanita Ibrahim took home the Nearest to Line prize.

It was a fun day for everyone, especially the multi-talented KGNS ladies who put up a colourful dance performance and fashion parade during the prize-giving lunch at Dewan Tunku.
