The champion, Nicholas Fung

Nicholas Fung carded a final round score of four-under-68 for total eleven-under 205 to bag the RM120,000 PGM Pahang Championship at the Royal Pekan Golf Club, taking home RM21,000 for his efforts.

“I hit most of the fairways and my game plan came in well. Accuracy and hitting long were my strengths here. The course is very demanding, but I love the layout here,” said the pro who was satisfied with his performance throughout the week.

Nicholas will be taking off to play four consecutive events. Two in Jakarta next week, then Singapore and later in Korea respectively. He will be back to compete in the PGM MNRB Championship at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club from 23rd to 25th August 2022.

He also added that the PGM Tour re-start after the pandemic has been very encouraging as it supports the local players. Most of them were affected by the pandemic and the tour gave plenty of relief.
