The KGNS Kelana Queen Open 2025 saw 104 lady golfers, both members and non-members, compete at Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS) on February 23. The tournament was played in strokeplay format on the Kelana Course.
After 18 holes, the 6-handicapper Nur Ain Qistina and Dr Nyana Kalaiwani tied for first place with a score of five-over 77, forcing a playoff. Nur Ain secured the title with a par on the deciding hole, while Dr Nyana registered a bogey. The 19-year-old Nur Ain also won the Longest Drive challenge at Hole #12 with a 245.2-meter shot.

YAM Tunku Puteri Negeri Sembilan, Tunku Jawahir binti Almarhum Tuanku Jaafar, and YAM Tunku Datin Anne Dakhlah binti Almarhum Tuanku Munawir attended the prize-giving ceremony. Nur Ain received the championship trophy and a RM1,200 gift voucher.
Nur Ain ranked 2068th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), has competed in 18 amateur and national-level events, including Sukan Malaysia XIX – Sukma 2024 (16th place), the Malaysian Ladies Amateur Open in 2023 and 2024, and the Vietnamese Ladies Amateur Open in 2023.

Starting golf at six and playing competitively from eight, Nur Ain aims to turn professional by the end of the year. She was a last-minute entry into the tournament and expressed her surprise at the victory.
“I didn’t expect to enter the tournament, and I certainly didn’t expect to win! But I’m very grateful for this opportunity. This victory motivates me to continue working hard as I pursue my dream of turning professional,” she said.
